Atelier Macleod started humbly — just me, a few basic collections I made myself, and a table at local markets in 2024. I didn’t have much, but I had a belief: that fashion could be beautiful, personal, and kind to the planet.

Today, I still carry that belief, only now I work with a small, passionate manufacturer in Leicester, producing limited collections in partnership with people who share my values. Our community is growing — made up of women who care deeply about style, individuality, and the planet we share.

I was raised in France, now living in the UK, and my designs reflect that blend of identities. But my commitment to sustainability came from something more urgent. When I studied fashion, I began uncovering facts I couldn’t ignore — like how the fashion industry is responsible for 20% of global water pollution. In some communities near factories, this pollution leads to infections, organ failure, and cancers. Once you’ve learned that, you can’t go back to “business as usual.”

I realised the only way I could work in this industry was to be part of the solution. That’s why every piece we make is upcycled from materials that already exist, keeping waste out of landfills and giving fabrics a new life.

We don’t claim to be perfect. But every choice we make is intentional. Our values are stitched into everything we do — and that will never change.
